Hey everyone,Since we have a good Atari crowd in here, I wanted to drop a quick update about my current project: AspeQt-2k26.
As the original owner of the RESPEQT project over on SourceForge, I decided it was time to bring the SIO emulation fully into the modern era. AspeQt-2k26 is a complete, modern Qt6 SIO emulator built from the ground up for cross-platform compatibility (Linux, macOS, Windows).
We just pushed the big April update out the door, and it includes some heavy-hitting quality-of-life features for the 8-bit crowd:
Under-the-Hood: Full Qt6 and CMake architecture. No more cross-platform build identity crises.
Epson Printer Emulation: Fully integrated and working.
New WebUI: Manage your disk images remotely without touching the host machine.
Workflow Upgrades: Added a dedicated 'Swap' button and an 'Add Blank
Image' button directly in the UI.Localization: Fresh language translation updates.
If you are actively spinning up Atari 8-bit hardware and need a
bulletproof, modern SIO emulator, grab the latest release and let me know how it runs for you.You can check out the source, build notes, and the latest release here:[Insert your GitHub Repo link here]Always looking for feedback or pull requests from the retro dev community.
Cheers,Paul
... My software never has bugs. It just develops random features...
