would suggest trying PCemu of 86Box, as it would actually emulate the older hardware. The downloads from theirs sites do not include the bios's but they are simple enough to find.
I've used PCEmu a bit but not 86box.. I should probably give it a try.
I have some old DOS games I like to play sometimes, and DOSBox or DOSBox-X usually works okay for those though. Not too long ago, I also found the Amiga version of Lemmings packaged up with an Amiga emulator with a batch file all set up to make it easy to run, and I thought that was pretty cool..
I like being able to run retro games & other software. At the same
time, I was thinking about it recently, and when I was originally using all that software in the 90s, one reason I was into it was because it
was new and cutting-edge, which was exciting. Now I like running that stuff for nostalgia, and because I still like it. I still like playing with new cutting-edge stuff, and although that excitement is still
there sometimes, it also feels a bit different these days.
We used to play Microsoft Outlaws on LAN... that would be cool to
do again. :-)
And I do have just playing with it on my list of things to do when
I have some down time. :-)
... If everything seems to go right, check your zipper.
