    The advice I can give is that it seems like a really good idea until you look into what you need to do to actually legally license the music that you probably want to play. That's what always ends up being the deal breaker for me everytime I get a notion to do something similar.

    I run a low power FM station in my home city and also stream it online (totalfm.nz) and in my case I pay an annual fee for broadcasters such as my setup here in New Zealand. This fee is administered by an organization set up to collect royalty payments on behalf of composers, artists and publishers.
