    Sorry to be a bit daft, could I ask if anyone knows why, when I'm browsing messages, it suddenly drops the connection and disconnects?

    Could it be too much load on my Pi, should I purge the message archive??

    That sounds like an EAccessViolation error. check your logs/errors.log file and see if that pops up when it happens.

    Thanks Grim I think I've solved it, but I'm ashamed to admit it :)

    I didn't delete the message bases that Avon has gotten rid of, so when I scanned for new messages, it just chucked a wobble and crashed.

    I've sat in the corner for being lazy, and now reimported the message bases and all is well.

    My fault :)

    Back, a looong time ago when I used to run on a PI (3B+), I had issues that only a different/new sdcard would fix. I haven't kept up on the status of recent cards. Hopefully, they are better know. Maybe just copy (dd is your friend!) one card to another and see.
