You just have to take it slowly and plan it out. Write down a list of
all your programs that you need to run things correctly first.
1) Image the system. 2) Fresh Install 3) Utilities / customize
desktop the way you want 4) Rest of your big apps 5) Games.
It's a big job but you'll be done in a day. Steam backs up your saves (if you have that enabled) so you won't lose progress. Besides you probably have not played 80% of those games in a year. (I'm basing this on myself)
