• Alternative to Outlook?

From Shurato@21:2/148 to All on Fri Jun 12 14:29:00 2026
I'm sick of outlook not supporting the mouse snap-to feature. I wanted to switch to Thunderbird, but it won't import my outlook (says profile not
found). I guess I'm forced to stick with the Microsoft Infrastructure. Typical.

Any help, or another mail client I can use that supports the mouse snap-to?
I'm sick of clicking mark all read or empty and having to move my track ball. It's a major hassle with my tremors. I need to be able to move my outlook
    and gmail over effortlessly.

I've moved from Thunderbird to Betterbird both on windows and linux in the past. I remember having to, in Thunderbird, export to a file that was then imported into the new Betterbird. I seem to remember when originally moving to Thunderbird having to do something similar. Hopefully, this will give you something to look into and try. Goodluck!

I'm confused why you are marking messages as read, when Outlook can be easily programmed to do this automatically after advancing to another message or even just idling on the current message.

I get a lot of messages I don't actually read.

So do I, lots of spam and nonsense, but just like my RG I use my keyboard in Outlook to navigate everything and no problems.

I know that Outlook is not "popular" amongst everyone else here but mannnn for me I've used it for decades and my particular setup it works perfectly when sync'ing calendars and contacts with my Iphone via. Exchange server.

Its kindof like Renegade... its my home for writing thousands, literally thousands of messages to people and I know that editor inside-out... what it can do, what it can't... you just get used to things and no reason to change.

I get a ton of messages at work where I am forced to use Outlook, I just click on the first message then scroll down to where I want to stop deleting click again highlight them all and just hit the delete key. I use Thunderbird at home and am following this discussion because I too am looking for a better home program..
