    New York City is apparently not the place to be after an NBA finals loss... especially if you are easily identifiable as a fan of the winner.

    This happens in every major city around the world after major victory/losses across Soccer, Baseball, Football, ...

    The NYC police were quickly activated, and AFAIK, someone got their jersey ripped off as one of the worst cases.

    Sports fans be crazy :)

    most people find that to be unacceptable behavior. Since we are
    discussing safety in said cities, I would not ignore such outbursts.

    Sure, I'm not advocating it. The point is, it happens in ALL major cities, after all types of major games, not just in the US - but around the globe.

    Or the short version: The mentioning is irrelevant to the conversation, or perhaps is the opposite of it's intention, since the oh so scary Democratic Socialist mayor shut it down very quickly.
