But I did try it several years ago. Couldn't 'get into' it - and I
started playing Dark-Wind. Problem there is I use a Mac and it only
works with Intel and older OS, so...

Is it something a casual like myself might enjoy?

Yes since 2010, I created a horde version of one of my alliance characters as a timerunner. Enjoying it so far. Get to farm the mounts and pets that I don't have yet. At iLvl cap so now spending time helping the lower level players out.
