Thursday
In Portugal and Spain, heavy morning showers will give way to a dry and
brighter afternoon. France will see heavy rain in the southeast, while
the rest of the country remains cloudy but mostly dry. Across the
British Isles, rain will spread east and clear later, but more heavy
rain will arrive during the evening. A dry and bright start is expected
in the Low Countries, with rain moving in later in the day. In Germany,
rain or sleet in the north will clear, leaving a dry and cloudy day.
Denmark will see morning sleet or snow that clears to a dry day.
Southern parts of Norway and Sweden will experience heavy snow, while
northern areas remain cold and dry. Finland will also stay cold and
mostly dry. The Baltic States can expect a cold day with some light
snow developing later. In Belarus and Ukraine, it will be mostly dry
but rather cloudy.
Switzerland and Austria will have morning rain and mountain snow,
clearing in the afternoon. Light rain in Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary
will clear quickly. In Romania, Slovenia, and the western Balkans,
light rain is expected, while Greece will have a dry day.
Across the Balearics, Sardinia, and Corsica, conditions will be mostly
dry, while heavy showers are forecast for northern Italy, with the
south drier and brighter. Turkey will see rain and snow in the east,
while Cyprus experiences heavy showers.
Friday
In Portugal and Spain, expect a cloudy day with heavy rain arriving in
the northwest later. France will have a rather cloudy day with heavy
rain affecting the northwest. Over the British Isles, Storm Éowyn will
bring severe gales, heavy rain, and some snow. The Low Countries will
experience a cloudy day with rain spreading eastward. In Germany, sleet
or snow is expected in the morning, becoming drier later. Poland will
remain dry but rather cloudy throughout the day. Denmark will see heavy
rain and strengthening winds, while heavy snow will affect southern
Norway and Sweden. Northern Finland will have some snow, while the
Baltic States see light snow at first, turning dry later. In Belarus
and Ukraine, light snow is expected in the morning, with drier
conditions later.
Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary will have a mostly dry but
rather cloudy day. Romania will experience some light snow, while the
Balkans remain mostly dry and bright.
A sunny day is forecast for the Balearics, Sardinia, Corsica, and most
of Italy, while Greece will have a cloudy day with some rain and fog.In
Turkey, heavy showers will affect western areas, with dry and bright
weather elsewhere. Cyprus will see some scattered showers.
