That said, I paste from the clipboard into SyncTERM all the time (just pasted that link right there). Perhaps the BBS you're connected to is capturing your mouse controls?

It's a Mystic board. That being said, I've since found out from other users that Syncterm 1.1 has this problem, so it's a bug fix that needs to be addressed.

Or... it's not a bug. Like I said, most likely, the BBS (Mystic in this case) is capturing the mouse controls. This means that SyncTERM can't use mouse selection/button-clicks for copy/paste because those mouse commands are being sent to the BBS.

AFAIK Mystic does not have this ability, I've never heard anyone talk about it, and I've never seen any kind of setting for it in the config settings.

it definitely does.. it's mentioned on the wiki too.

even if that's the case.. most terminals support using some modifier key to temporarily disable mouse reporting while it's held. or perhaps can be configured to force shift-insert to insert the OS clipboard instead of
whatever the terminal program does with it. i duno how configurable syncterm is..

Ok folks, let's just drop this thread. I'll just use Netrunner when I need to paste content into a message base.

You can alwyys use IcyTerm -- it quickly became my daily term. Check it out!

...and it can cut+paste just fine :)

I have tried to test it before, could never get it to work. Can't remember if it was an issue with unpacking it or if it just refused to run.
