• Shortwave stations?

From BOB KLAHN@1:123/140 to ALL on Mon Oct 27 12:41:00 2014

I have been trying to get back into SWLing. My receivers are not
top of the line, but not bottom, and I have done well with worse
    in the past.

As I scan through the bands I am finding few stations, other
than apparently Spanish stations or Radio Cuba. Has Shortwave
Broadcasting been that badly abandoned? Or am I just not finding
them. I have tried most of the bands, several times a day. All
of them once in a while.

Though I seem to be getting even more religious stations than
    before.

Sounds like you've just had bad luck listening sessions. I've only had
the 40USD Sangean budget analog dial sw receivers and I still have some
pretty good listening sessions. I can often pick up programs from WBCQ
the planet, www.wbcq.com. And this helps enhance my hits

I still get some insteresting random hits, the Netherland, Japan, and Sweden have had some interesting programming in English.

I suspect it's location. I suspect this apartment building is
filled with metal and electrical interference.

I am using two digitally tuned receivers. I am not pleased. The
jumps as you tune are annoying.

That is a US station. I can receive those quite well.

I'll check out that website. Thanks.
