I have yet to see the message he posted to me in this echo, so perhaps there is a problem someplace.

agreed... i'm suspecting something over there with his uplink or their uplink... i think they tie into that NADS distribution but i'm not sure without
digging thru the existing messages for the paths... there's only so many choices to pick from ;)

He had some problems in other echos, which suddenly opened the flood gates. I guess PCBoard was not one of those.

wow... that's a long time for someone (your uplink) to check and fix their links... glad they finally got you reconnected... hopefully you are now reconnected to all areas?

    Thanks for asking.

    you are welcome...

    Seasons Greetings,

    back at ya :)

Well, it's not so easy to pick an active host today. The sysop of
201/111 has most of his professional work in other countries but does
have daily contact with his server(s) via the NET.

Any inside work he has to do must be done while he is at home.

i know of several in similar situations...

Any inside work he has to do must be done while he is at home.

yes, i'm definitely aware of that aspect... not everyone can simply ssh or vpn to their systems to work on them from remote... many are in that position and do not have any way of pulling config files for alteration and then sending them back to update the old ones...
