The creature pauses, its glass-like talons clicking against the marble as it fixes you with a gaze
of molten gold. It doesn't strike, instead it mimics the rhythm of your frantic heartbeat,
vibrating until the air smells of ozone and ancient ink. You reach for your vial of containment salt,
but your hand freezes as the beast weaves a sigil into the steam of your tea. This isn't a predator
to be caged, but a messenger waiting for you to recognize the summons. The era of observation is
over, the invitation has finally been hand delivered.

The sigil dissolves, bleeding into the liquid until the tea turns as dark as a starless midnight.
You realize the "salt" in your pocket is nothing more than kitchen spice against a force that
    breathes history.

Slowly, the creature bows, its metallic scales chiming like a thousand distant bells. The heavy oak
doors of your study groan open, revealing a path where the hallway used to be. You take a sip of the
ink-stained brew, feeling the weight of a thousand years settle into your bones.

    The threshold awaits:

The floorboards beneath you dissolve into obsidian sand, and with a final, echoing chime, the
creature dissolves into a shadow at your heels. You step forward, the taste of ancient dust and
copper lingering on your tongue as the air grows cold and thin. Your study is gone, replaced by a
colonnade of petrified trees stretching into an impossible horizon.

Every heartbeat now thrums with the rhythm of an era you haven't lived yet.

A silver sun hangs motionless above, casting no shadows save for the one pacing your every step.
You reach out to touch a bark of stone, and memories of a city not yet built flood your mind like
a fever dream. The silence here isn't empty, it's waiting for a word you haven't learned to speak.
With a sudden, sharp inhalation, you realize the copper taste wasn't dust, it was the metallic tang
of a future bleeding into the present.
