I recently updated to v3.21. This is probably the who knows what upgrade in a row as I have been running the system for probably close to 20+ years now. Prior to the upgrade, I was on 3.19. Its running on a Windows 10 VM (32bit) and had been working great, however I notice now that when I attempt to stop the SynchronetBBS service it just hangs and I have to kill sbbsntsvc.exe. Sometimes also after multiple starts/stops i get a error in the synchronet consol that says port 23 is already bound to a listener.

Any thoughts? Do I have sme old cruft that needs to be cleaned up?

Man, I'm dreading that -- I started with 3.14 back in the mid-2000s,
and have moved the same /sbbs folders back and forth since then.

What I should probably do is perform a vanilla install in another
directory and diff it against my running directory. I bet I have a ton
    of obsolete cruft in there.

sometimes it's good to just rip it out in some places and start over.
my text.dat was super modded. i had to just start over with a more boring
    one.
