    Hello T.J.,
    Is there a way to change the names of the message areas that are listed in the QWK packets from the Short Area Name to the longer Message Area Name?

    Probably not. Will look into it though. It uses the short name (data file name) to find each base. If it used the longer name, it would be hit or miss if even a character was changed.

    I didn't think so but had to ask.
    Since the data file name is limited to 8 chars and I have many with similar names that DB starts changing the names to numbers. Now in the qwk pkt you can't tell what the base name is, as its a number.
    I don't have a work around yet.
