Mitch is gone in November, primary already completed.
We have enough
votes to pass the Save America Act with or without Mich.
Nothing more natural than a tear in an aorta because underlying heart disease.
His sister was sworn in yesterday to fill his sport... It looks like
Thune will allow the Save America Act through reconciliation, in
memorial to Lindsay, and it looks like some sanctions package against Putin to assist the end of the Ukraine war.

He was going to be gone no matter what. He's been unfit for office for
a long time now.
When you get your driver's license renewed, and you are over a certain age, they do more than just have you take a written test - to show that you are still capable of driving.
We need to do that for congress critters too.
So we get some good out of Lindsay's death.

Mitch has been dead for a few years ... just let it be. If we get past the August deadline no special election will be called and it will be business as usual for Mitch's seat.
Yup... There is always drama. We need popcorn and Whiskey to get over what's coming in the weeks ahead of us.
This isn't a dig on just Mitch, but on all congress-critters.
I've seen several articles about how some of these people have been in Congress longer than most of us have had jobs. And that they are older than 80% of the people in the states they "represent".
When you have that large a generational gap between constituents and representatives, I find it hard to see where these people "represent" us.
Back when the Constitition was written, someone living in to their 90's was pretty much unheard of. We need a mandatory retirement age for congress-critters, or some other limit. I still like my idea of a cap
of 10 years total in "public service" (school board, state rep, federal rep, etc.).
It will be like watching a car accident unfold.

I heard Mitch was released today..
Senator Mitch McConnell was discharged from the hospital after being admitted for flu-like symptoms, according to his office's official statements. He returned home on the advice of his doctors to rest and continue his recovery.
Referendum?? Would that be constitutional?? We have ~80-90% of the population want Voter ID and Citizenship confirmation... but yet the Senate doesn't want to pass it.
ideas??? Representational government...
It will be like watching a car accident unfold.
Hopefully in slow motion!
Propaganda until I see evidence.
Ahhh.. He went right home. Did anyone (with credability) see him
between the hospital and home?
A constitutional convention seems to be the only way.
The Lefties have it right for once: The Constitution, as written,
doesn't take into account the realities of the current world.
But I wouldn't want to hold one until we can squash the Deep State. Because they would subvert it.

There U go...
I just don't want to trigger an election to replace him. We've had the primaries ... if he's "dead after the 1st week the Governor can put someone in for the few months we have until the fall election.
I'm pretty sure covering up the death of a congress-critter for political reasons is illegal.
