We need to tell our reps that we aren't happy about the fraud discovery but we will cheer up if we start seeing prosecutions. Isn't it a
federal offense to rip off Social Security?
My understanding is that mortgage fraud is something worse than just a fine (however large) which would make these people ineligible for office (partly because they'd be in prison).

I don't think we need that. I thought that Social Security went direct deposit. We have account numbers. Those accounts have people attached
to them.
