From Elmer Quinn@1:3634/60 to August Abolins on Sat Mar 8 04:16:07 2025
    Hello Elmer Quinn!

That movie struck me as a kid in the 1970s - the message of conservation
and the juxtaposition of folk music in space. Was that Joan Baez?

Yes Joan Baez song was at the end of the movie.

It's actually a Peter Schickele song, but only sung by Baez.

Baez = a distinctive confident voice, good choice!
Thanks, the movie was a juxtaposition of environmental conservatism with a triple homicide and suicide and a song written by Peter Schickele and sung by the lovely Joan Baez.

I want to see that show up in the Netflix summary page!

On the YouTube channel, Movies, Music & Monsters, there's an episode that goes behind the scenes. Good stuff.

If you'd like to watch it online for free, you can find it here:

The downside is you might run into buffering delays along the way. Also, you have to double-click on everything, don't know why.

What a great movie - I remember seeing this in the 70's!

Of course I was young then, my reaction now might be a little different. Haven't seen if for a long time though.

    Bruce Dern was good.
