• Write to Disk File

From Chris Jacobs@1:103/705 to All on Sun Apr 26 23:51:18 2026
If I write a post to disk file with <ALT W> to \blabla it does not end up as \blabla in my root C:\ directory.
It shows up somewhere on my computer as blabla.
I have to use a search utility to find it.

    ctjacobs@AcervanChris:~$ locate blabla /mnt/c/Users/chris/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/blabla
    ctjacobs@AcervanChris:~$

I use GOLDED+/W32-MINGW 1.1.5 which comes with FIDOIP.

where does your golded.conf's TEMPPATH setting point to? that's where mine writes to...

Does not matter. The problem seems to be that Golded expects the path I give in <ALT W>
    to begin with a directory.
If I give a path that actually starts with a directory it works fine.

ok... on my system, my "write to file" currently saves to the same place my TEMPPATH in my golded.conf points to... i may have typed that path in some long time ago... this install has been in place for quite a while, at least since late 2018, so memory is a little froggy ;)
