That's odd!? Two MSGID's but the second one isn't a real kludge
    line...

I'm afraid that may be a glitch in Golded itself. I entered the messsage and then edited it a few moments later. For some reason Golded entered a second MSGID. Not sure why, but it is what it is.

When you re-edit/change a saved message, Golded always changes/updates the MSGID. That's by design.

Maybe you accidentally put the 'o' in front of the existing MSGID, and so it was no longer a MSGID kludge, and so it was not replaced but kept as a regular message line. And a "normal" MSGID line was added... So PEBKAC. ;-)

    Bye, Wilfred.

How do I alter the signature line that GoldEd applies to each of
    my messages?

You can edit the template file, by default GOLDED.TPL.
    [snip]

Perhaps I'm being a bit dense, but where in that .TPL file do I put in my desired signature line? (I'd like it to show up like in this message (which I've altered from just my first name to include the "--" and "All the best,"

Thanks in advance! I will learn this, one way or another. <g>

Right before @cfname (configured first name, I would assume it stands for - or at least something close to that), put whatever you want. If you really want, remove @cfname and put Marc there instead.
