I looked at Your "me" link just now.
Lots of knowledge under that hat.
I couldn't send a message to You when I tapped on the Button, so thought to write here to let You know I visited the page.
(probably the Log told on me before I could finish this post)

I saw Ed's post here and the word "lighthouses" and had to ask, are you
    also a fan of them?

The t.me link points to my id page for Telegram. If you install Telegram on your phone, it will offer direct messaging.

Nah.. I was thought that the CBC Debators episode wrt to
lighthouses was the funniest one I had heard in a long time.

    August,
On Your "me" page with the image of a bunch of books stacked between a hat and a person's shoulders I thought was a cute image for You.
I did notice the word "Telegram" on that page.

Don't think I am interested at the present time for a App on this phone.
As You know I want some kind of Bluetooth device to use the phones data with the XP rig here

Besides the USB device I also saw another device with a CAT5 jack on it.
That has me thinking about using that device in the place where the old DSL modem was plugged in the Linksys Router.
Using that CAT5 device I could use either the XP or Vista PC as I used to do.

I WANT to get back to doing 'computing' as I used to do.

If you are thinking of this solution..

    https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/connect-phone-tablet-to-internet-
    ethernet-cable

.. I don't think it will work for your situation. The adapters
depicted in the article are usually designed to bring internet
*to* the phone. But in your case, you want to tap into the
    internet *from* the phone.

I WANT to get back to doing 'computing' as I used to do.

Wifi or BT receiver/transmitter at your pc is easier.

    Thank You August,

The PC Mag link gave me a 404 because the last part was placed on the next line as text.
After logging off the BBS I will enter the full address in Firefox and read the article.

Direct connections would work and be "easier" but You know from reading my posts that I like to complicate things.

    Your help is appreciated.
