    There is an AAAA record for globalchaosbbs.com but no response on that address. No surprise because Irex does not support IPv6 and it never will because it is abandonware. So you have to choose....

    1) Dump Irex and install an IP mailer that supports IPv6
    2) Remove the AAAA record for the host name used in Fidonet.
    3) Use a trick like a V6to4 proxy,

    We can move this to the IPV6 echo. It is available at 240/1120.
