  • Legend of the Red Dragon game server

    I was trying to connect to the nix.synchro.net.57038 game server for LORD with my qwkid and password but it goes nowhere. Is this still available, has it changed? No longer available at all? I got this information from the LORD documentation. Any help or ideas?

    Attepting to telnet to that address and port combination results in a
    "network unreachable" error. Attempting to telnet to that address on the default port results in a connection to deuce's board.

    That makes me think the service is either down, has changed ports, or is no longer offered.

    You might want to ask about it in the synchronet irc as deuce often hangs
    out there.

    It appears you would first have to create a new QWKnet account at nix.synchro.net. Did you do that?

    Then you would set the GameUser and GamePassword keys in your lord.ini file to the QWKnet accoun name (ID) and password that you used for that account on nix.synchro.net.

    Then you would uncomment the GameServer key in your lord.ini.

    At least, that's how I read it. I haven't tried it myself.
