• AreaFix - grab all files

From CloudDancer@21:3/226 to All on Fri Jan 23 11:43:54 2026
    Hi All,

I was certain I posted a message last night about this, but I cannot find it anywhere ... Maybe it was too late/early for me to recall the facts.

I messaged AreaFix@MyHub(ClearingHouse) with a message to grab all files... Am trying to seed things and to have the all files on fsxNet....

I sent the commands on the left, and AreaFix replied as such:

    %RESCAN FSX_DOOR 365 <-- RESCAN [365] DAYS queued
    %RESCAN FSX_IMGE 365 <-- RESCAN [365] DAYS queued
    %RESCAN FSX_INFO 22 <-- RESCAN [22] DAYS queued
    %RESCAN FSX_MUTL 365 <-- RESCAN [365] DAYS queued
    %RESCAN FSX_MYST 365 <-- RESCAN [365] DAYS queued
    %RESCAN FSX_NODE 22 <-- RESCAN [22] DAYS queued
    %RESCAN FSX_SOFT 365 <-- RESCAN [365] DAYS queued
    %RESCAN FSX_TEXT 22 <-- RESCAN [22] DAYS queued
    %RESCAN FSX_UTLS 365 <-- RESCAN [365] DAYS queued

    However, all I got was:
    - 311 new files in Image Files (Various)
    - 1 file in Weekly InfoPack (fsxNet)
    - 1 file in Weekly Nodelist (fsxNet)

    Nothing else arrived ...

Is there a better way to seed all this stuff to my BBS? I am especially interested in Mystic BBS Software and Mystic BBS Utils, Mods, etc. file areas... Would like to have 100% of those files on my BBS...

    Thanks!

Was there anything actually hatched in any of those file areas that you rescanned in the timeframe you've asked for (besides those three you /did/ get files)?

To me, it seems as though it worked as one would expect it to. It's more likely that some of those areas that you requested a rescan of files hatched out in the last year... didn't have any new files in that time frame. If there are files in those areas on Agency itself, check their import date, and if they are older than 365 days, you may have to adjust your rescan option.

The infopack and nodelist probably get "replaced" every week. So while there is a new file hatched weekly, just as you should receive them weekly, there is not multiple files in those areas for you to rescan.

Keep in mind this is BBSing, there is not too many files flowing around these days when it's much more accessible via other (and faster) methods.

    Nick

Good point. Possibly not ... I may have to increase the rescan days.

Of course, I am just a bit OCD and like to somewhat match files between nodes. More for posterity too than need, TBH.

    Thank you! :)
