I didn't know about that story, but I googled it, and wow, there are a
lot of articles about it. So that's not something that neither Biden
nor congress can hide from (unless Zelenky is lying.)
Either way, the
lesson is let other countries support their own wars. Hopefully the
thick headed community figures that out.
That's like nothing though. I want the 175 billion back!
That's a good point. When we call it "waste" we're putting a flowery
word in their mouths. They should say "intentionally misplaced."
Someone told me a few years ago that the reason why they get paid such high salaries is to discourage them from taking bribes. But I don't
think that plan was smart and it's definitely not working.
Hopefully DOGE will determine that congress is being paid too much for
the amount of work being performed, or for the amount of qualifications required of them. They don't deserve $250k per year while people of the same educational background are driving plow trucks.
What I would really like to see is the Elitists who played that system
get punished. Like all their assets seized and have them thrown in
prison for life. That might make the other Elitists think twice before doing something like this again.
My point is that their (albeit high) salaries don't match their lifestyles. They are living far higher than their gov't salaries allow.

I want that too. Just taking the money away from them isn't punishment enough. That's not how we treat bank robbers, and bank robbers only
stole pennies compared to what's been funneled through USAID.
I understand. Members of congress who are millionaires (or higher) need
to be investigated. But the salary itself is way too much. They hardly even spend any time working.
They should work as volunteers, conduct
their congressional businesses at night, and they should have daytime
jobs in places where they can actually work for their money (if they
need any.)

Even when they are "working", they aren't doing their job.

When this country started, that wouldn't have been feasible. Today, however, that is certainly doable with the technology we have.

Let's ask Maxine Waters if that's doable. :)

She can be replaced by a very simple BASIC program. I was thinking
along the lines of the old ELIZA program, but simpler than that.

Maxine Waters only has 2 functions: obstruct the government, and spend campaign money unlawfully.

If she keeps it up she'll soon be unemployed and she'll have to start a fans only site...

She'd at least get Alan to subscribe. :)
That might work. She will span everyone with pictures and say "For $20/month, I'll stop."
