    Hi Alexander.

startup.cmd on your boot hdd right below config.sys

    ew no

    ew yes

if you're not going to use this stuff why bother running OS/2 at all? lol

PM is not needed at all. :)

    Indeed. :)

Don't blame me of the thread. I'm not responsible.

As usual; there are different ways to solve a problem or a non
    functional feature.

I also prefer \startup.cmd; I can be sure that programs start in correct order. I can also set up delays between them.

Me too. Currently I'm working on a 'special' delay tool for startup. Found on github/os2world

open the Startup folder under OS/2 System and the Templates folder there too, and right-click-drag the Program template over to the Startup
folder and fill it out for each program you'd like to autostart,
including options to start minimized and a host of other things

    Okay something weird happened...

I just want to start VModem, my Mailer and Internet Rex. I right clicked on Vmodem and copied it to the startup folder. I did the same to the cmd files for the mailer and irex and rebooted the machine and the Vmodem program started fine, not minimized but I can work on that... but the mailer and IRex started 2 copies of itself.

    :(

this sounds a bit like you shut down the machine while those were running at some point.

    try setting:

    SET RESTARTOBJECTS=STARTUPFOLDERSONLY,REBOOTONLY

    in config.sys?

this will also get rid of Warp trying to bring back random folders or command prompts you happened to have running when you shut down

I seem to have fixed things.
