Once a month, 20ForBeers BBS hosts a doom tourney. The next one is
Saturday 4/6 from 6-7 PM PST. You'll need to load Doomseeker and look for
20 for Beers in the server list.

    See you there!

    ... Is it finished?

I've heard of doom seeker but I don't have it installed. I'll look into that.

    See you there!

I'll be there if I can get the stuff.

I liked the movie despite the fact it was bad as Hell.

LOts of people keep playing Doom, Doom mods, and other ID1 games.

I host LAN parties, and Doom/Doom2 is part of our game rotation. We typically do Doom, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Descent, and a few newer games. Being that we're all older, we like the earlier games best :)

20forBeers BBS is hosting monthly DOOM WAN parties, they're a lot of
fun. I'd forgotten how fast-paced it was and how small the levels were!

First Saturday of the month, 6:00 PM PST. Load up Doomseeker and
Zandronum, and look for 20forbeers. See you there!

Thanks. I may have to check it out. I'm more of a LAN guy though; it's quite amusing when you make a kill then see someone on the other side of the room stand up and curse :D

Back when DOOM came out, I was working in an office with telephones with headsets. We'd make a 6-party conference call and jump into a DOOM
deathmatch. This was in 1994, long before any of the modern tech that
    makes gameplay and collaboration possible.
