A another blast of snow overnight (5-12cm) and maybe more next day in my part of Ontario (south of Algonquin Park)

Happy and a healthy new year to y'all too.

I remember "century club" booze contests at university. Two guys face-off with a 1oz of hard liquor per minute. Last one not under the table before the 100th, wins.

Sounds like you got off lighter than I did this time.
I'd estimate we got about 20cm on Saturday night, this after
getting a bunch of rain and losing about 80% of the snow we had..

A couple of cold nights coming, close to -20c (-4f) but staying
fairly warm (close to freezing) during the day on several days.
And it looks like it will be warming up again in 5 days or so.
    Strange winter weather this year..

I figure between the heating costs and the snow plowing, which
I didn't have to pay for before this year, I could be looking
at an extra $800 to $1000 a month in expenses compared to summer..

I can't say that I've ever explored that area south of 7, west of 62 and north of 401.
But I *have* traveled all along those routes directly.

Point Pelee is a national park, and a point of land, but you are
probably thinking of Point Pelee Island which is offshore a ways.
Technically there is another small island the furthest point South
in Canada a little farther out called Middle Island.

I was more thinking of the nearest residential area close to
Point Pelee Park since that's what they usually refer to as the
Southernmost point on the mainland, probably Leamington, On..

    So, the Southern most...
    o Populated mainland: Colchester
o Mainland point: Point Pelee Natnl. Pk.
    o Populated land: Pelee Island.
    o Canadian-owned land: Middle Island.

    That should do it.
